I watched this movie, but it's not like the book I read the book first, and it was really good. But I didn't like the movie because there were a lot of things that happened in the movie that they didn't mention in the book. For example, there were a lot of moments where they focused on Jack Jack instead of Baby-Dorrito, and they spent most of their time telling you about these people called "The League". I don't know what those guys have to do with anything. I think they focused too much on the people and stuff and didn't focus enough on Baby-Dorrito. I really liked the book but I thought that the movie was different from the book. I think that they didn't follow the story line very well. They should've followed it better or they could've picked a different title for the movie. For example, in the movie, there was a some kind of organization called "The League", and Baby-Dorrito and some other people joined some sort of gang-organization (which had nothing to do with anything), and he thought that he was going to get his hand cut off because someone told him that all members of The League had their hands cut off. They didn't mention anything like this in the book. I really liked the book and I thought that they had a lot of great ideas and did a really good job with the book, but I think that they could've done much better when it came to making the movie. The director of this film was Sahid Sukhtankar. I think that they could have picked a different title for the film because in my opinion, "Babumoshai Bandookbaaz" misses its target audience by a long shot. I just thought that it was too different, and that there were too many things in it that didn't have anything to do with the book.
The film score and soundtrack for "Babumoshai Bandookbaaz" was composed by Anu Malik, with lyrics written by Swanand Kirkire. The album released on 16 June 2011 under the label of T-Series, who also released the original works for movie. This is the first original song of Bandookbaaz. The film's trailer was launched on 21 July 2010 alongside the release of the first look poster at TISSENBAI Event Hall in Mumbai.
The film received mixed reviews from critics. Bollywood Hungama gave it 2 stars out of 5, stating that "the screenplay makes many attempts to connect with mostly young audience without really striking a chord emotionally. At the box office, the film will struggle to find any mass audience. It seems audiences want more than just comedy in their movies these days". Taran Adarsh of Bollywood Hungama gave the film 2.5 stars out of 5 stating that ""Babumoshai Bandookbaaz" is replete with moments that'll make you laugh your heart out. Having said that, it's far from being a classic like "Golmaal". And when it comes to class, it isn't in the same league as Farhan Akhtar's R... Rajkumar either.
